Colossal damage.

So one time I was going in for a knife kill. Having already begun the insta kill swing I noticed a Mger sitting right under me, crouching down I slashed his face right open and this is what I got in console:

So, anyone else get this kind of damage? Is more possible?

As I understand the knife does 500% damage and the head is 200%, but then ive gotten 300 from the back with a knife. Any idea how it comes up with 750?

I've seen it too.

I've given someone 750 damage in 1 hit using a gun. I forget which gun, though. I was surprised as I thought no gun in DoD:S would ever beat the AWP/AWM rifle in Counterstrike with its headshot of about 500 damage.

Also, I gave someone over 100 damage in 0 hits last night in DoD:S.

That would be a grenade kill, unless you physically hit them with the grenade, the explosion doesn't register as a hit. Or maybe that was just pre-source.

No, it does. Because ive gotten like 3 damage, which is possible if someone's real far away from a nade, but still in the hit radius.

I think I got 0 damage in 1 hit a few times from a grenade too.

That happens sometimes when someone shoots a rifle grenade at you. You slow down like from a real bullet, and seemingly take damage. But you don't take damage from the collision itself.

Another thing I noticed today- I took over 150 damage and was still alive with like one health on other peoples screens, I didn't die till I was headshot by a sniper rifle. Like 4 hits at least were taken before that, weird.(It showed the damage in my console too)
