One would need an accurate way to record an animals judgement, a very dark room, stimuli, and various light sources (Or an electron microscope and sample eyes).

It is pretty much understood, however, everything as far as light or energy existing outside of our visible spectrum is not "colored".

If it were, we'd be able to see it. (;

The Romans spoke latin.

In Greek it would be transliterated as "kolor" or more likely "kolos"
