Combine darleks?

This is nothing special, i just wondered if it might be an in-joke.
After making contact with Eli Vance for the first time in the game on via screen, the combine dispatcher comes on and clearly says 'exterminate'.
Coincidence or small joke?

Obviosly a coincidence , the dispatch says lots of things , for example i remember it saying "eliminate all hostilities in sector 6-G..." doesnt mean anything. And if you listen correctly she/it goes on to say much more , something along the lines of "exterminate infection , sector *something else*". Also i hate doctor who so much , just saying.

The word "Exterminate" is hardly a Dalek-only phrase.

Exactly , how on earth did you make the connection? They said the same thing but thats it , there was no reference to those pieces of crap anywhere , besides HL has giant space slugs that suck peoples brains out , doctor who has boxes... yes boxes...

I've got a toy Dalek. Well, actually it's a bit of plastic tubing and a paperclip glued to it... except the glue dried up and the paperclip fell off... and I stepped on the bit of tubing... and it broke... and then went to bed and cried myself to sleep, chanting "What am I doing with my life?" til my roomate asked me to stop as it was distracting him from banging his girlfriend.
