Also CS Source is not CS2. CS Source is a port of Counter Strike onto the Source engine, CS2 is planned to be completely different, with different guns and scenarios, and I assume a whole new set of maps. I've read some guy on his own is developing it still.

Maybe if we invite Iced Eagle into the Staff forums for a cup of tea he'll shed some light on it.

No, I was way too busy playtesting upcoming games than worry about past games unfortunately. They actually let me play test a new unannounced game (and holy mother ****ing shit you guys will absolutely love it) that they are co-developing with a close company of theirs. No details will be given until they announce it (I was told "soon" but Valve isn't running the show)

I'm not sure when they are going to announce it, or even if it will come to light as a retail project (right now though it is so ****ing fun though to play on LAN and is just orgasmic and I will personally murder someone if it doesn't go to retail).

As soon as I see details of the project online, I will tell you guys how my play test of it went.

I doubt it's Prospero at all. Prospero sounded like a great , open exploring game. I don't see it as a MP game. Nontheless , they could have changed the concep drasticlly for i know.

Keep in mind it's "a new intellectual property." Prospero's an old property that never came to fruition; that's not new. Just old. It did have some multiplayer segments though, IIRC, so maybe.

Ideas or terms from Prospero have been circulating around for awhile now anyway. Some of the gameplay ideas, the whole focus on the storyline that prompted Half-Life to change its design, the Combine being from the Aleph universe...
