Cross Interactive is looking for members that will be willing to help on a Half Life 2 Mods for experience to become Game Developers. We are serious about what we are doing so we don't want slackers.
We are looking for the following:

-C++ Programers
-3D Modelers
-Graphic Design
-Composer

If you are interested please PM me, reply here, or visit our Website( http://crossinteractive.clicdev.com )

Thanks for your time!

We are Very Serious about this

We are in need of all you modders out there, because we want to get started on our Idea soon. We are still constructing it but we got some key points down already. We just need more modders to be there to help me and Dymlos out. Please contact me by aim-BigBoss7018 or [email protected]

We also want to make a map

We might end up starting with a map before we start making our mod, so please if you are interested in help making the map or mod or even both, let us know.

How can you make a map before you have the basis of the gameplay? Unless it's just to test technical features...

Are you willing to help us? or leave just leave useless remarks, we are serious and want to get down to business, we are new at this and we just want to get started

We are making a map first to test technical features then we are going to start the MOD.

Is your mod/project single player or multiplayer?

Then quit whining and get started on your modification. Draft a design document, get ideas of what you want all of the weapons and characters to look like. Sketch layouts of your maps onto paper. There are a lot of things that you can do in the conceptualization and design process that you don't need specific modding skills (like modeling or programming) to be able to do.

Design Document. Make one.

End thread.

"DESIGN DOCUMENT, MOTHER******! DO YOU USE IT?"

This thread keeps getting better and better. Before it gets carried away though, some actual advice.

Yeah, his remarks weren't useless. If you don't have a solid plan for what you want to do, why do you think people are going to do it for you?

Also, what are you two doing for the project? Since you're making a test map and are outsourcing Modelers, Programmers, and Graphics Designers, it looks like at most it's level design. Which is a great skill to have, but I'm skeptical on even that.

It's clear at this point that not a lot of thought has been put into this. You've mentioned a few times that you want to "get started soon" so that you can be actual game developers. If you want to be taken seriously then you need to look professional. Do what real game developers do. Study. Write Design Documents.

Here's an example: You're looking to hire a composer, which I assume is for music. Musical Composition is one of the last things to be created for a game. Generally musicians who do compose for games have a much easier time writing it when they can physically walk around in the levels and see the things that are going to take place.

Well, I guess you are right I was vague about what i said, and dymlos2003 was also vague on what he said. We do have a small design layout but it isnt completely done yet, we will come back when we finish it.
