Hall, who believes DayZ will eventually outsell ArmA 2,
DayZ could have been the tipping point for people on the fence about buying arma.
Because you keep making these statements about the game that are completely based on your incredibly warped perception of what the game is and why people play it:I don't know the games -- how is that topical?
I wasn't being melodramatic when I told you to stop talking shit about a game you know nothing about. You kept doing it. Surely you can see how annoying you sound?you're being so melodramatic with your vehement and righteous defense of a product that has shaped you.
What in the shit are you talking about? It's like you're responding to a different person or something. What does this have anything to do with what we're talking about?Cool, but you are objectively living in a bubble. Your precious war-humping mil-sim marriage is having a very public love affair with a bean collecting simulator.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argumentum_ad_populumThe press, sales figures and gaming communities speak louder than myself with twice the passion. They'll communicate far better than myself
This is actually true, at least for me - the game isn't very fun alone. Good thing there are plenty of non-Day Z servers and communities out there.Zombies sell. Yes, I think less than .5% will ever touch vanilla ArmA, and if they do they'll do it out of boredom on their own and realize the game is not fun playing alone.
Day Z will be going standalone by September, it has been revealed.
"Kind of like Minecraft, the full release isn't necessarily the goal, the development itself that's the goal, and see where the idea goes, even if it reaches a full release or even if it does, I think we would probably want to expand on it."
Hall said that the pricing would be based on the "content we could put into it", adding that "it needs to be community supported and they need to be behind it".
"So the challenge there is to come up with enough features and content that people are happy to pay out €10, €15 for an additional product when they've already spent €20 on Arma II."
Sarcasm? if not pm me and i'll pm you server and location. Then we can be best of buds and I won't complain when you spam 4chan art.
Great news! Would be awesome if they are using the same engine as they are for ARMA 3. Will be watching out for this one as I have yet to play DayZ but would love to get into it.
The Arma 3 engine isn't going to be built with many of the DayZ mechanics in mind, such as zombie AI, survival stats etc...
I think DayZ would benefit from the basic frame of Arma 3's engine, with more refinements to suit the DayZ game play.
