Dedicated server question

I'm just trying to figure out how to add a custom map to a dedicated server in a steam account that doesn't have the normal hl2dm installed. Hopefully I can just drop the map into a folder, but I have no clue. Thanks in advance.

If it doesn't have hl2mp installed then how do you install a map? Why even install a map?

I have a similar problem. I use the dedicated server but i can only run the orig maps. I have been playing on other servers for a long time and collected/downloade many maps (to play)
But i kan not change maps to one of thise just the origianl maps that valve made. Why??
