Reading up on Cheese just now, and I was wondering who here is a fan of cheese, and what kind of cheese they like the most.

Part of the reason I plan to tour Europe is to check out fresh made cheeses I've heard are really good there.

Cheeseboards are fecking awesome, I must've had about 20 over Christmas. Stilton and apricots/cranberries ftw and goats cheese ftw!

Cheddar and Parmisan.

Anything else is just...mould

Who wouldn't like cheese...

Wensleydale Gromit?

I love cheese, but unfortunately I haven't had the privilege to sample exotic and rarer cheeses. Mostly it's been cheddars, goudas, and all the other ones especially common in the states.

Sampling a wide range of more exotic cheeses is something I want to do.

Cheese is not necessarily the best food ever, but certainly the best food that you can feel like having at almost any time. There's almost always cheese on any sandwitch I make, and if there is actually any good cheese like Edam or Camembert in the fridge I will almost always want to eat them (with crackers), though I do tend to savor such foods for a while (too damned expensive to do otherwise).

Plastic cheese, however, should be hurled en mass into a giant fire, where it will ironically not melt.

I cannot eat cheese.

Are you allergic, or just lactose intolerant? If you're lactose intolerant... you can eat cheese. Being lactose intolerant actually only makes someone part of the majority, not minority. I often hear people say, " Oh, I can't eat cheese because I'm lactose intolerant."

I'm always tempted to tell them... "Well, only like 30% of adults in the entire world are lactose tolerant... eat some ****ing cheese already like everyone else."

Cheese is O.K I suppose. I'm not too keen on really strong cheese, but I do enjoy white stilton on oatcakes.

Also, grated cheese over a plate of chips.

Cheddar and Red Leicester for the utter win :D

Cheese is the best vegetable of all.

A super awesome and especially healthy vegetable indeed.

Cheese? Cow gets hungry. Cow eats grass. Grass goes into cheese stomach. Stomach eliminates chlorophyll. Grass converts to cheese. Out pops cheese. Good vegetable. Processed cheese? Cow eats cheese. Cheese goes into cheese stomach. Cheese converts to processed cheese. Out pops processed cheese. Good vegetable.

WHY YES GOOD SIR I DO QUITE ENJOY THAT LIGHT DAIRY BEVERAGE PRODUCED BY BOVINE FOR OUR DAILY CONSUMPTION!!!

:cheese:

I like cheese but not on a hamburger for some reason

It depends on what the cheese is for.

In sandwiches, I like Double Gloucester because its relatively mild, tastes lurvely and is smooth. I also like Red Leicester for the same reasons. Both these are great with a bit of branston pickle.

Saying that, you can't beat a big chunk of crumbly white Cheshire cheese in a thick sandwich with plenty of butter. No picke with white cheese though, its just wrong.

Also, that stuff America produces in slice form (and calls Cheese) just isn't cheese. I'd rather remove my tonsils with a fork than eat that crap.

i like melting a block of cheese on my testicles sometimes, its quite sensual

:rolling:Under cheese, which smells alot like Blue cheese, which is also the most evil form of cheese.

It's all about the brie, baby.

"American Cheese" is actually reconstituted cheese leftovers. Or dead babies.

I hate American Cheese with a passion. I don't see why so many people like it. Have a burger? Slap on some american cheese. NO NO NO... use anything but that. Cut a thin slice of cheddar. I mean hey, it's fairly bland and generic, but at least it's real cheese!

Wikipedia said:
...a processed cheese (i.e. it is manufactured from a set of ingredients[1] such as milk, whey, milkfat, milk protein concentrate, whey protein concentrate, salt) which meets the legal definition of cheese...

The horror.

So basically it's like stripping all the essential elements that make up cheese, and then reconstituting them into a cheese form. A really crappy cheese too. Not ideal at all.

Cheese is one of the few reasons I actually live for..Cheese..mmm

What can a cheese thread be without mention of the epic love affair between mice & cheese? (even though they don't really like it)

love cheese, almost every single kind ..love gouda in all it's forms, asiago, provolone, feta, brie etc etc etc

The ONLY way i can eat cheese is if its on a sandwhich, hamburger, pizza, pasta. Other than that...ITS DISGUSTING...i cant understand how people can chew up a whole piece of cheese just like that! Doesnt your mouths become all dry and overloaded with that gross taste?

Variety of cheeses with a variety of crackers with a glass of white wine, mmmmm niiiice.

cheese doesnt have to be dry, stop eating mouthfuls of mozzarella ..cheese can be wet, like good feta ..you really are missing on a world of taste by not eating cheese ..but to each his own

Muenster cheese on its own, cheddar for hamburgers, and provolone for any other sandwich.

Not really, it sees to sort of...cheesy, I just don't like it.

I love those crazy specialist cheeses you can sometimes get. Like cheese with chillies in it. Badass.

Ah, you see, I'm the exact opposite of that. The only was I can eat cheese is by just chewing up a slice without anything else. Preferably a very thin slice.
