will this be available via the CE? it seems only fair at 80.. also can you buy it serperatley... whats up with the other source ports? how are those being handled.. will gold buyers get themall that wol dbe nice.

this thread is centered around the incusion of the hl mod ports to source in the gold/'silv etc packages..

DoD was published by Activision so I don't think Vivendi are allowed to distribute it.

Also, there are about 200 threads like this, couldn't you have posted in one of them?

No, DoD:S doesn't come with CE.

Seeing that DoD:S will not be ready to ship with the CE it would seem funny to give to a voucher say good in 3-6 months. Most people that buy retail are probly doing so because A. they don't know about the steam release or B. don't have a great internet connect. Also for all we know there could be a contract agreement between Valve and Activision over DoD:S.

Yeah, order on the forums is rapidly deteriorating I hope this all gets cleaned up tomorrow. (Sorry for contributing to the mess)

On topic I believe you will be able to download DoD:S from steam after you register the HL2 cd-key (whether you get it with the retail or through steam. (at least I hope so)

im not asking that, im asking if the other ports will come with the "gold" because it will probably be a sh!t load of money and it seems to come with just about anything valve has layed it's hands on and then some...jeesh

Gold comes with all the previous valve games (if they are ported over), as their back catalogue.

DOD:S isnt close to being done yet. Once it is you will be able to buy it in a store just like the rest of the valve games.
