Does anyone still play this game?

Are there still a lot of players and servers up? I'm thinking about buying this game.

A quick search shows about 1000 servers and about 350 of those being populated. So yeah you should have no trouble in finding games or people to play with. It might take you some time to get up to the skill level though. From the last time I checked on the Steam store it costs so little now you can't go too far wrong picking it up.

I play DoD 1.3 but Source still has players.

Most of the servers run those terrible orange maps, so good luck if you want to play on WW2 maps.
