If I made the topic and i messed up in the title, I should be able to edit it too.

I should also be able to delete my topic if i feel its irrelevant after i posted it.

Consider it, Thank you.

I don't believe so, i posted under Games and Gaming about a demo not working, and after getting no replies wanted to delete it and found no option to do so.

(then got a reply, go fig)

I think the delete thing is not right, as that would be just stupid. But I think the editing of thread titles would be nice..

Well not anymroe i guess, i'm new to the forums and i tried doing it but wasnt able to, u can edit the message but not the title of your new thread.

Deleting the thread will be a no. But I fully endorse the editting of Thread Titles.

And I hate the timelimit on the edit thing!

Come back tomorrow and try to edit your post ;)

U should take more care when writing a new thread perhaps? U could read through the thread once having typed it to make sure your mistakes are rectified, don't u double check your pocket for your wallet before you leave your house?

Deleting of threads will be done by moderators only, it will lead to abuse by members & cause difficulty in cleansing of advertising bots. The edit limit is in place because some members think it's ok to flame then delete their content shortly after to avoid infractions / bans. So this current system seems to fit this community fairly nicely.

If you accidently post in the wrong section, no problem...report your own thread and a moderator will move it as soon as possible. This is usually extremely promptly.

Oh and typing with full words would be appreciated too, this isn't a chat room you know, urumax.

We should still b able to edit our topic's title, shouldn't we?

I'm pretty sure i can type however i want.

Thanks for the heads-up Glenn, I'll be more careful!

1. Click the title of your thread while not actually IN the thread.
2. Edit any errors.
3. ????
4. PROFIT!

:P Don't be so harsh

I thought the mods could see editted posts? So surely that's pointless?

Of course you can, but that doesn't mean your posts won't get deleted :)

Maybe...wouldn't like to confirm either way just to keep you guys on your toes ;) And sorry I don't mean to sound harsh, but I am so that's the way it comes across. G'day *tips hat*

Sounding harsh is all part of the job. But about the timing on the edit; it's really only irritating when you have something you want to stick in the OP so everyone can see it when they open the topic.

First Amendment...? I'm going to assume you're joking.

Are willie and I the only ones that figured out how to edit thread titles?

Go to the board where the thread is listed and doubleclick anywhere in the green zone.

why sweetheart? freedom of speech ring any bells?

You're on the internet. Freedom of speech doesn't even mean anything.

And your "Amendments" are all American. How can you expect it to spread across Cyberspace when it doesn't even affect other countries?

There are few laws that cover the internet.

Unfortunatly the First Amendment doesn't give you the right to say anything at anytime, just look at the way the FCC controls radio and t.v. I think it was Ice Cube who said..."Freedom of speech, just watch what you say"...After the riducule of the song "F*** the Police"

And this is a privately owned website, above all... The rules are what Munro says they are.

You are granted your freedoms, including freedom of speech, until it invades the rights and liberties of others.

They invade my rights to see actual English. If I wanted chopped up, shitty English, I'd download AIM and go into a chat room.

I think that's his point. You don't get any rights on the internet. Everything's a priviledge.

Just be glad we have the supremocity of our one true leader, Munro, to judge us fairly

wow, who the hell cares how he types? are you guys going to be that anal about such an insignificant little thing?

no it wudnt b a prblem wen peeple do it a little bt. bt sumtimes 2 much cn go 2 far.
