I agree, F.E.A.R. wasn't scary at all, maybe a little creepy, but not scary. The only games that have ever scared me are the SH series (especially the first since it was the first time I'd played anything like that), AvP and probably System Shock 2 (for the first couple of levels anyway).

System Shock 2 was scary but I played it coop the whole way through and it was more funny to be honest. The zombies respawned, that got annoying.

As many others did, i found the game eerie rather than scary. Eerie enough to create the necessary atmosphere, but not enough to make you jump imo. And if you do find it scary, turn on the lights, get a friend round, and play through it together, lol. Tis worth playing through.
