Questions (no introduction lecture)...

1. If I install a pci slot fan, and have it blow on my video card, will the air that my video cards fan that it's pushing away have any effect on it? I.E the PCI slot fan blowing the hot air back onto the card?

2. How can I install an outtake fan on the top of my cpu if my case doesn't have a slot on the roof for one? I'm yet to see a case that allows for a roof fan.

3. Does a front intake fan help at all? If so will it effect the airflow with one outtake fan in the back, and a pci slot fan?

well...i think your over reacting about the fans. if you have 1 side fan, 2 back fans and a front fan than your fine....use the front fan and side fan for instake and use the back 2 for outtake, there will be plenty of airflow. i also recomend a cpu cooler.

edit--- its not the fact if your blowing "hot air" on the card, its if its gettign airflow. if you have good airflow through your case that there wont be much hotair to blow at anything.

Don't have a side fan.:( And my case doesn't support 2 back fans, only one.;(

well then you can either buy a new side panal if you want, one that has a side fan moded into it.....if not then it probly would be a good idea to get a fan or something that will cool the gpu down

I am. The PCI slot fan. It's an actual fan that goes in a PCI slot, and cools the video card directly. On top of that im getting a heatsink attachment to it.

Theres alot of cases with a fan at top. Kingwin kt436 and alotta lian Li have them. Just mod it onto the to[p.

How do I mod it? I gotta saw out a hole or something? lol

Get a hacksaw and cut a hole in the top, a little smaller than 80mm(or whatever size your using) then sand it down the rest of the way.

my friend has a huge box fan, so he takes the side panel off his case, and just blows the huge fan into the case. he says it works great, but he gets a kind of wind tunnel effect lol

that doesnt sound safe at all.:dozey:

Holy shit. I got my temp inside the cpu.

125 degrees farienhiet on average
91 degrees farienhiet on average

My comp is going to melt if I don't get some fans in there soon.

Lol hudson i know someone who does the same thing.

EDIT: Those temps look fine i think.

Fine?????????????? Thats 33 degrees celcius for the motherboard, and 50 degrees celcius for the cpu! How can that be fine?!

I have one outtake fan on the back. My case doesn't support another one. I'm eventually putting another fan on the front for intake, and if I ever find a place that sells side panels with fans, I'll get one of those. Also don't forget that heatsink I'm adding onto my video card. Hopefully then my comp will be cool.

whyd you buy such a case that dosnt support more than 1 or 2 fans?

PS- get the Vantec areoflow cpu cooler

ok ok lets stop crying...

wut cpu do u have amd or intel? is it at 50c under load or when not in use?
wut kind of heatsink and fan do u have for cpu? what motherboard do u have?
might want to replace case fans with quality ones if they arnt.
are u overclocking?

SpuD - Easier said then done.

King - Intel, it's 52C for cpu and 33C for motherboard on normal load, heatsink and fan that came with the intel processor, ASUS P4P800, I have two polaris 80mm double ball bearing fans that I'd like to put to use, and an enormous heatsink on my video card, no I'm not OC'ing.

that is waaaaaaay too hot man, use a big box fan like my friend does =)

Ok I'm getting alot of mixed answers.

So far my uncle who is a computer expert and works for microsoft, told me it's a normal temperature, also some other various people said it's normal.

However some people here and in other places say its way too hot. Which one is it?!

it seems just a very little bit warm, though in no way dangerous at all

You guys are so new to this. My 1.33 is HOT and i mean it 70*c, box temperature is 40+ . Beat me

Ya and btw my both side pannels are open

Omg guinnny guy has 1000 posts already,he is going to outpost us all :x

Giunny, is your computer under your desk? If its having heating issues make sure it can get air and its not trapt with the hot air it exausts

its definatly on the warm side but in no danger. if u have a p4 wchich seems to be the case from your mobo your cooling is good and does not need an upgrade. just get good airflow and everything will be honky dory.

smg: cool that puppy down with a slk heatsink and an 80mm fan seriously. 80+ is danger for amd. is that 70 under load or ilding?
oh and as the old sayin goes: its not quantity that counts its quality, im not implying that guinny's post arnt but 1000 doesnt mean anything. :dozey:
