Will someone tell me why do pc gamers keep getting the ps2 port instead of the next-gen game engine the 360 and PS3 will get? What is the ****ing logic behind that kind of decision?!

The same is with the new Madden. I just don't get it, they are releasing it for the pc, so why won't release the best version of it.

If there's anything "killing" the pc, it's the game devs. themeselves with those kind of stupid, disrespectful actions.

wow are you serious? they are porting the ps2 version for pc!!??

i'm a pes guy through and through but the last few years Konami have gotten incredibly lazy with their series, i think its partly due to the ruling bodies at Konami, i dont think they give the dev's enough resources which is a shame as the game is frickin' huge in Europe, 1 million pre orders for pes6 in the EU. Come on.

This year's Fifa looks quite nice i haveto admit from their recent presentation in Leipzig, the game engine has been completely rewritten apparently.

Sports games need to stay on consoles.

No, sports game need to be on pc too and with the same version the consoles are getting. This isn't WII, PC gamers won't get a inferior version and say thanks.

Why the heck you bring PES to the topic? It's about PC gamers and games who keep getting neglected with no good reason at all. Rlease the proper version for the pc or don't release at at all.
This is getting out of hand. They can't just treat pc as an afterthought and expect people to buy those products. Devs. have only themseleves to blame for poor sales, when you release a half-arsed obsolete port.

Get a clue, EA.

Get a clue, EA.

And that's it right there. EA. I think the key is EA knows the vast majority of their consumers will run it on a console, so they don't dedicate the resources to the PC version.

Just a guess. My real argument is maybe they want you to spend the money instead on real games with plot and such, rather than paying 50 dollars a year or more for (usually minor) graphical and (pointless if want you really want is the sports sim rather than some sort of RP) statistical updates.

Whatever, I don't like sports in general anyway and would never pay for a PC version, crappy port or otherwise.

Also, as a gamer I take serious offense that you say the WII gets an inferior version. Graphics don't make the game, and I have a feeling sports games with a Wiimote kick ass? Some, anyway.

EA annoys me. They change the graphics a tiny bit, add some new options into their games, then sell it for way more than its worth.

Blah.

Because the 360 and PS3 versions are exclusively set up for multi-core. Some PC's have it, but most don't.

Thus, to get the biggest marketshare they port the PS2 version, which will run on any system, regardless.

It sucks, but that's the way it's going to be until multi-cores are completely mainstream.

Hang about , xbox360,PS3 dosnt port simpaly because there is no point , if you dont have a gaming pc then you will by a xbox360/ps3.
