I'm not finished watching it yet, but damn is it ever good
The storyline seems to slowly but ever so surely walk straight into darkness, it becomes more enticing with every episode, can't wait to finish & get ot the movie :D

That SHOW SUCKS!

Just kidding, it's alright, not in my area, but better than the english version of Naruto... *shudders* Naruto sounds like such a chick!

I love this show. Great storyline. The movie was pretty awesome. The ending was a bunch of shit until the movie came out, so I'm happy about that. But anyway, the story is wonderful, and I love the characters. There were so many parts of the show that I'd start choking up on. They did a really good job, and I'm glad I started watching it last year.

Good series. Started out weak (though I did like how the first 2 episodes took place in the "present" and the other first 14 were catching up episodes) and then got much more exciting.

QFT.

Awesome series, my personal favourite anime (although I'm far from being an aficionado). The movie is out here next week and I'm grabbing the collector's as soon as it hits stores - looking forward to a proper ending to an otherwise outstanding show :D

Yeah I really liked the series. The film was slightly confusing, but I guess I just need to watch it again to understand it properly. MY fave character was Gluttony.

Only thing that I hated about the seires:

*spoiler*

51st episode. WRRRRY??? WHY WOULD YOU GIVE POWER TO PARLIAMENT AFTER SUCESSFULL COU DE TAT? ARRRGHGHGHGH!

Japanese Naruto > English naruto

I liked FMA except for the ending. The ending was lame.

The ending to the series or the ending to the movie? Well it doesn't matter anyway, they were both "Eh." Good series though, I enjoyed it. Can't bring myself ever to watch it again, though.

Also, best thing to come out of FMA:

Hmm, I don't have much understanding of the show, yeah, I need to see more, but I'd have to say that soo far, that machine that follows (I'm guessing) Ed around was pretty cool!

Thats Al, Ed's brother:) he's a suit of armor

I don't give a Damn! I'm made out of laffy Taffy!

But whatever it is, it doesn't talk does it, I just love its facial expressions!

Peh. Coloured FMA burnt my brain because I always pictured Al as a rusting red, and after finding out he was grey, couldn't wrap my head around it and defected to American Graphic novels for a year.

Armstrong rules.

That colour would look really good actually.

Oh god, I've laughed for hours at Armstrong with his pink stars! MUwahahahah

Yuss! :D

Must remember the episode where someone dresses up like him and attaches stars on wires all around his head xD

Also, Hughes FTW.

:(

haha, yes, funniest fkn part EVER. I laughed for at least 10 minutes on that one.

And too bad about Hughes, he was a really good character. At least Roy Mustang kicked it into gear to take over his spot in the show. :)

Yeah, Mustang really kicked ass toward the end. He was a badass from the start, but you never really knew if he was for real till then :)

Blah! That does it, I'm rewatching the damn thing. See if I can get all 51 episodes in before the movie is released on... Thursday :D

Great, now you've suckered me back into anime.

Feed the addiction, my young padawan. :E

Just watched up to episode 4!

Always thought the few episodes starting with no. 4 felt a bit like filler compared with the first few, but after rewatching some of it and actually paying attention it seems to be a bit more in keeping with the plot than I originally thought.

They have these kind of episodes in any anime though (and many other types of series for that matter) - find town, meet side characters, make friends and enemies, have most of those reversed due to minor plot twist, solve problem, learn life lesson, leave town. But atleast they're mostly well handled in this, and they only take up a very small percentage of the series.

That said, a friend who I watched this with and I found something to love about these episodes - the farewells. Or more particularly, the farewell wave. You know the one - arm outstretched, waving back and forth at a full 180 degree angle, mouth opened as wide as possible while neither saying anything nor really smiling. It's just... so goofy and typically anime-ised, you can't help but grin :E

Iv been recommend to watch this by someone but never got around to it. What is it really about?

Basically about Ed and Al, two brothers who're on a journey to restore eachother to their original bodies. They're alchemists, which means they have the power to transmute objects, but the rule of equivalent trade states you can only transmute something into something else of the same mass. Of course they ignored this and they've paid the price, so they're out to find a way to return to normal.

Seriously, just try out the first 2 episodes, they're a great introduction to the series. If you like those then it's a safe bet the rest will definitely be worth it, it's a top show from start to (kind of) finish (but don't let that put you off).

And let us not forget the State Military guys.

I loved ep 37. The main charectors never showed up, and the state military charectors are in there, funniest episode ever.

i saw a few episodes, but the story progressed ever so slowly, yet has a addicting feel to the series.

Wasn't Roy Mustang in that one? When they tried to find the "Ghost"?

Yeah :D

Even the title changed at that episode. :p
