Fusion - An "easy"? CTF inspired mod suggestion

Playing HL2DM, watching people carrying stuff around, i couldnt help thinking someone should make a CTF variant using the Gravity Gun.

I post about it here and hopefully someone that actually could make this happen will read it and be inspired by it.


Fusion - An "easy"? CTF inspired mod suggestion

Key features:

- Two Uranium Halves, one for each base.

- Putting the Halves together in the base triggers a fusion , creating a shockwave ( im visualizing a really nice Black and white only "heat" effect here, See Attached Image #3) through the whole map killing everyone and setting it up for the next round.
And at the same time giving the points to the scoring team.

- Dropped Halves breaks down (again a nice Atom inspired effect) over time and a new one appears in the base. (just like regular CTF)

Basically its CTF with HL2/CS "clothes".

So, what do you think, anyone more than me that would love a simple CTF mod being done?

And seeing as how you used the term like "clothes" instead of skins, I figure that you're just throwing out random thoughts without knowing about any of the development process, eh?
It's good to come up with such stuff, but next time, unless you plan to start the project yourself, don't bother posting a thread.
No offence, but the idea isn't exactly mind-blowing and something no one else could have thought of too.

I never intended to invent a new "mind-blowing gametype" just something i myself wanted to play.

@Garric, Yes i did, and your point is?
I have always thought that pictures is better at describing ideas than words. Sorry for not oilpainting it tho.

@shane, Reg "Clothes" its a figure of speech i thought that was pretty obvious and no i have absolutely no knowledge about making a mod hence my post.

And "don't bother posting a thread" wtf?
I have 2 options here 1, Sitting here on my ass wishing someone could make a CTF-like mod or 2, atleast do "something" hoping for a positive (hah!) response that a clever guy(s) reads and decides to work on.
Who knows maybe someone has actually thought about doing something like this but wasnt sure people would like it?.

Congrats to the positive attitude tho, the community really need more people of your caliber.

Guys, chill, first of all, he wasn't trying to say that those were OFFICIAL pictures of the mod or anything, he was just giving a general idea so that people would get the gist of what he was going for.

He was just trying to throw a mod idea out so that someone could fool around and see what they could do.

Let's all just relax.

holy shit you assholes are on a superiority trip, give the guy a break. Good idea mate, im actually kinda surprised no one has released at least a basic CTF yet, even using CS maps that would kick ass. imagin that, Counter-strike CTF

anyways im currently working on a grand theft auto style game with a bunch of mates so i dont have time for another project but im sure someone will read this and decide to DO SOMETHING

Ive reposted this in the right forum, i hope (if not, im sure some of the nice chaps here in a very friendly manner will notify me ) and it would be great to get a discussion going of what would work and what wouldnt.
