Games missing from Steam list!

What the hell! where has CS gone? It was there yesterday & after the recent update. I just started Steam in order to receive the weekly news update & Steam starts downloading ......... again!! I checked the monitor which showed Half Life 2 as 99%. I then had another window pop telling me "You are about to install CS. Space required" .... etc.

What is going on here?

This happened to me yesterday, i had to re-install my entire halflife 2 because all the .gcf's had gone missing from my steam folder !?

Just click next and the 'download' will finish in a few seconds. If not, then you should run scandisk/defrag.

i have no idea.....are your files cimpressed or something? Might have created an error that wiped the files....but im a n00b, so dont listen 2 me

Eh? I just re-started Steam again & it's back!!

Happend to me but was because my bro installed HL2 with a different e-mail addy so there was two different acoounts in the steamapps folder. i just cut the folders into the new folder.

Usally restarting Steam fixing the things that "go wrong".
or at least for me...
