Hey Guys,
I really need some help as I have next to no room on my hard drive partly due to Steam. Sadly, I love it too much to delete it so I come to you guys to help me out. I read that my steam folder should be much smaller. Any idea what I can delete? Thanks a lot!:D

dude all you own is CSS......

my folder is about 30gigs.

If there are any games you don't play, uninstall them from Steam.

It seems you probably only have Half-life 2 and CSS installed. Those are the bare minimum amount of files you need play those games. If you don't want to play either of them, delete all those .gcf files. That comes to around 3.5 gigs of space, and most PC games take up 3 > 7 gigs of space these days.

If you have any mods inside your 'SourceMods' folder, deleting these will help. Deleting anything else will cause HL2 and CSS to stop working.

Thanks for the quick replies. I just can't believe that one game takes up 4.5 gigs. I only play CSS and it's the only one I have downloaded currently. I can live with it, but thanks a lot to all of you.

4.5gb isn't too big by today's standards, some games are upwards of 10gb nowadays. Bear in mind that CS is probably only about a gig on its own but the Source engine shared materials and content take up the other parts.

Also, my SteamApps folder is well over 100gb, it could be worse ;)

My hard drive is relatively small being only 110gb. Most of my hard drive (85 gigs) is music, therefore games are forced out. I'm getting a new PC next year where I'll get a 640gb hard drive to play all my games, including all of the orange box.

Hehe , i read the title in my mind as "gigantic steamer" when i saw the partial title in the main area.
