Global unlocks?

hey.
i was trying to find a server in BF2 allowing the global unlocks option so i can test which weapon i would like to unlock...but that damn server browser is so god damn laggy and all i find are servers which do not allow unlocks.

does anyone have a server ip which has this option set to allow the unlocks?
or perhaps someone knows the console command for this and can share it so i can create a local server and check out the weapons...

help?

the only ones worth getting are the PKM (support) and the DAO (AT) as they are direct improvements
the m95 is only worth investing in if you actually snipe
the rest are merely options

|ZB| servers still have an all weapons server (unranked of course)

the m95 was th first weapon that i unlocked...but i wish it was the medic one...

i dont know i think the medic unlock is quite usefull, i own w/ that gun on semi auto. I like being able to spray rather then shoot a burst shot.

i was saying that i wanted the medic unlock for my first unlock. thats the gun that i got most of my kills with until SF came out and i got those unlocks

Newbies are so lucky- it's so easy to rank up now. I spent faaar too long trying to get that goddamn Corporal, then all of a sudden I'm a Gunnery Sergeant. Not cool.

yea, i remember the days when i was an LC at 5000 points...then all of the sudden im a gunnery sarg and is 10000 points away from the next unlock :|

Medic Unlock: VERY small improvement in accuracy over the M16 (if there is any at all) despite the scope. Horrible accuracy when set to full auto or when moving. Overall: M16 = Unlock. AK101/47 > Unlock.

Spec Ops Unlock: More accurate? Less accurate? Who can tell? It does the same damage as the M4 but less than the AK 74. It's way better than the Chinese Spec Ops gun but that's because all the chinese weapons (except the AK47) suck.

Support: Less ammo than the SAW, but more powerful. WAY better than the Chinese gun, but that goes without saying. It's really a matter of preference. It does more damage than any other (excluding the M24 or M95) gun but has the worst accuracy when not prone. Even if you are prone it still sucks if you fire more than 2 or 3 rounds. But, then again, 2 or 3 rounds really is all you need. Like I said, it's a matter of preference.

Engineer Unlock: Who the hell plays this class anyway?

Anti-Tank Unlock (DAO-12)(Uber EXTREME God Weapon of Doom): Unlock this. Unlock this now. You will own anyone in a CQC shootout. Gives the AT soldier great flexibility. Awshens at close range, decent at medium (pistol) and good at long (AT rocket). This is the only gun that is way better than any of the stock guns. GET IT NOW!!

Sniper Unlock: I personally don't use this unlock. Ever. That's because I only play as a sniper when I'm on the US team. (M24 > X) If you plan on sniping as the MEC or PLA then get this. It lets you camp airfields properly as you can shoot the plane/helo whores before they take off. If you play as a US sniper, don't bother. If you want to snipe regardless of what team you're on, go for it. It only takes 1 shot to bring somebody to 2 bars of health weather they're wearing armour or not. (The M24 only takes around 60%) You get LOTS of kill assists with this. Again, personal preference.

Assault Unlock: Don't have it, can't review it.

Spec-Ops is amazing, easily one of the best ARs in Vanilla BF2

Engineer is pretty good, from what I've played- still, not as good as DAO-12

Anti-Tank: what he said. Get it.

Support: I love the PKM... I don't play support a lot, but that gun is definitely fun

Sniper: If you're typically a sniper, it's a must, just for MEC/PLA/Helicopters.

Medic: very overrated, still useful. AK101 pwns it, though.

Assault: G3 isn't super accurate, not a very large clip... but quite powerful. Single-shot is very useful.

hmm.. do you have an IP to one of these |ZB| servers?
i need a search on google for them but didn't come up with anything

hmm...i noticed i was getting killed by players using grenade launchers.
what class is that?
and i have not been able to find servers which allow global unlocks.
the BF2 server browser blows chunks and the filters don't always seem to work either so searching for the |ZB| servers is a pain in the ass. :|

anyone have an IP to a server with global unlocks?

The "global unlocks" option doesn't appear to be something that works at all when creating your own server. You'll just have to read up before you unlock. Or steal a kit from a fallen friendly or enemy who had the weapon you want to test out, should you be lucky enough.

n00b tubers annoy me greatly, mostly because usually they suck so much with the tube anyway, they run at you and fire at their feet!!!

Don't forget about the fact that they jump first and it usually keeps them alive even when they're 6 feet away from you.

Thank GOD the next patch will disable firing while jumping.
