Anyone could've made that image, from the looks of it.

Honestly I was surprised at the negative spin they put on the G-Man's whole biz (Gordon and Alyx escaped his "malevolent grasp", for example). I was always under the impression that his intentions with Gordon were for the greater good. I mean, sure Gordon's alternative to compliance is annihilation and no one with that kind of voice or appearance can be good, but I honestly never aligned him one way or another.

All the kids are doing it, he wanted to be hip too!

G-man finally changes his clothes. He has been wearing the old tie for more then ten years. It is torn and stinking. He really need to change his clothes a bit.

Not true. He changed from HL1 to HL2 as well.

I don't like this new red tie artwork, I hope he will wear different tie (blue or black). Red ties sucks...

Well, when you're attempting world domination, you really want to wear your power tie.

I like buttons, especially red ones.
Oh yeah and I wanna be BooBoo...

Suspicious indeed.
Perhaps he has changed his tie.
I agree.

Gordon was the one put in Stasis, the Gman must have changed his clothes some time during the past 10 years. :P

Begs the question: how undeniable cool would a bowtie have been?

If the Gman is going for a 'Jeeves' look, then a bowtie is very cool... NOT :sniper:

Remember they said it was close to 20 years between HL1 and HL2, so this makes me wonder how come the G-Man hasn't aged one bit during this time. Hm... conspiracy!:O

To me it looks like he did age.

It is a conspiracy to cover up a conspiracy!!

Um, why is this thread still alive?

Because it is awesome. Best let people get thier spam out in one thread rather then creating a bunch of them. :smoking:

I remeber when Aftermath was first announced, about a year ago. There was a magazine with that same picture.
PC Gamer UK.

I cannot believe I am the first person in this thread to say:

"Why does the G-man have to wear these ridiculous ties?!"

Personally I think the red looks good on him. It really does make him look "malevolent," as the Aftermath site describes him. Also, you notice how, up until this point, he has been very cool and calm and in control? And now he's angry and making implied threats in the Episode One trailer? Maybe the red tie is his angry tie. He puts it on when he needs to yell at people.

It is the only freedom of expression his employers will allow.

You may at points choose to change your tie for another in a different colour. You will do this by handing in your current tie at the Dimension Q Tie Repository and choosing an alternative from the pre-selected rack. Your tie should be rolled up neatly in a bundle no wider than 3 inches. Ties will be available in different colours, but all of them will be dark, and plain. Patterned, striped or so-called 'comedy' ties will not be tolerated.

So, no 80's piano key ties for our snake-sounding inderdimensional antagonist? No wonder.

Are you declaring some sort of connection between the scientists and G-Man?

Conspiracy!
