steaming pile of ****ing shit.

I forgot my e-mail address for my steam account after i reinstalled it and so i went to the "forgot your account name" button and it said please enter your name.. so I entered my account name and it said an e-mail has been sent to you.. ok that doesnt help me. I then gave them my CD key and it said, an e-mail has been sent to you. Wonderful. Then I decide to create a whole new account (i uninstalled HL2 already) and it says my CD key is in use, would you like us to dispatch an e-mail to your account? I guess I have to go buy a whole new HL2 and support valve the nazis. Gabe's fat ass can go eat some more cupcakes.

Hahaha dude, its your own fault for forgetting your email address.

There should be ways to get your e-mail address back. What ****ing company that makes you NEED your e-mail to log in doesnt give you a way to find it out again? Is Valve full of retards?

who doesn't hate steam???

lol, no offense but before you call Valve retards your the one who couldn't even remember your own email address. Its a standard security thing now-a-days anyway. So if you were to blame Valve, you'd then have to blame Hotmail, DeviantArt, Gamespot, Gamespy, IGN and tons or online sites and companies that do this sorta thing

Those bastards, I bet they put something in the water. To make you forget.

Or maybe you should stop running into those walls and remember your email account. Your complaint may have some foundation behind it (there should be a way to retrieve it) but this is the exact opposite of how you should have dealt with it.

Exactly. People complain about Steam all the time, as its got its problems as we all know. But you can't blame Steam for you forgetting your email address.

while not a huge fan of steam myself, face it, you screwed up if you forgot your e-mail address. if you forgot your username/pass, then you should remember your email address. if you can't remember anything, that's not valve's fault.

this is also why you should make a note of this when you install the game... i have a piece of paper in my HL2 box with my steam username/pass and my e-mail address, in case i ever do forget. :p

Actually, no. Since all those websites give ways to remind you what your e-mail was.

I am sorry I am not a bunch of nerds like you guys who know your e-mail like your phone number(i guess you never give it to girls?).

I have my CD-key.. is that not enough for valve to know that I am me and they can tell me what E-mail was registered to that cd key?

No of course not since Valve needs to make more money for gabes fat ass.
