I'm actually thinking of picking this up...

I just played maybe ten minutes of the demo, and my first impression was that this was a horrible ****tastic game. Nothing really flowed all that well.

Then, after a bit of combat, and getting the hang of the controll scheme, I started having fun.

And now, I find myself wanting to play this game so bad, that I almost broke my groundage D:

So, what did you guys think of it?

Worth my fifty bucks?

Or perhaps three days worth of orrent-tay?

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
the fact that the demo must have run at 10fps for me when the graphics were fairly meh was a killer for me. Didn't like my first combat impressions either :/

Get it on the consoles, tbh.
It's a helluvalot better.

depends what you like. pc is a more slower paced and tougher game, the 360 is more fast paced and alot of action is going all around.

Ya i liked the 360 version a lot.

Yeah, the PC version kind of blows, esp. when compared to the 360 version. I didn't think it would go down like that, but alas, it did. ;(

I'm assuming you mean the controll scheme.

I agree, the control scheme is what made me think at first, that it was a ****tastic game.

But I have a PS2 controller wired up to my PC, so controll scheme shouldn't be all that much of a problem.

If that's the only thing you guys didn't like about the PC version, then would you say that I should get the PC version (considering that I have a controller)?

No, the PC version appears to be much different from the 360 version. I own the 360 version and have played the pc demo. The 360 version had much better graphics, and the gameplay felt more solid. If you already own a 360, please promise me you will buy it for that and not the PC. Many others have also said that the PC version was... complete ****.

Don't have a 360, so that's not an option :/

Well, could you guys tell me exactly WHAT made it suck?

I just keep hearing "Oh yeah, 360 is better, PC sucks" without any explanation. I can't see how anything could be different besides the graphics and the control scheme.

If you're saying "oh yeah, it didn't feel as solid on PC", well then you're basically saying that the keyboard mouse controlls sucked... And thusly, it'd feel more solid with a controller.

Right?

Right?

The game was made completely from the ground up by a different developer for the PC version. It is nothing like the xbox360 version which many people enjoyed. The graphics appear to be dumbed down and yet it somehow dominates powerful computers, a conundrum if I ever saw one.

Most people were just expecting a nice ported version of the 360 GRAW and got a completely different experience not up to their liking. I hope this is an adequate enough explanation.

It's got good co-op. Graphics aren't the best and definately aren't efficient. The game is not really finished, you can only hope they fix it in patches. Its nothing like the 360 version but I didn't think it was that great either, I seem to be in the minority though. All these new ghost recon games just remind me how much I loved the first one, I wish they were more like it. But if you liked the demo you would probably like the full game too.

Still doesn't explain to me WHAT it was that people didn't like about it.

Ok, so it was made by a different house. What was it that these guys did differently, that people didn't like?

I dunno, i'm really liking it. Wondering if I should just get it, even if you guys don't like it.

Just trying to figure out if i'll run into any spots where i'll be thinking "god I wasted my cash on this game". Wouldn't be the first time I bought a shitty game based on a good demo.

OH, and i'm looking at 360 screenies right now, and if anything, they look worse :/

Where are you guys getting that it looks "tons better" on the 360?

Just go buy it then.

If you like it, that's great... If you don't, return it.

See I had no problems running the demo on my rig

AMD 3800+, X800 XT 256meg, 2 gig ram

and I really enjoyed it

played it on a housemates 360 but man the controller just fecks me off too much.

I prob will get GRAW but ATM i really don't have much time for games, too much work on, and PES5 is keeping me entertained the free time I have.

I think i'll get it.

Note the absence of the word buy, but let's not get into details...

I'll see how it is, and if I like it allot, then i'll buy it.

I sort of felt like that too: "This game totally blows"....*10 minutes later*...."That's it? I want more demo!" :P
But it's really not worth 50 bucks IMO, at least not for PC. I haven't tried it on 360 though.
Maybe if they would release a patch that fixes the crappy-graphics-crappy-performance issue, and if the price went down, it would be worth a buy. Until then, it's barely worth downloading :|
