So, apparently there is a gun threat situation at my high school. I'm lucky that I didn't have first period today. I found out just now before I went to go leave. I hope nobody is injured, or worse. We already had a girl die in a car wreck a few weeks ago.

The story is that yesterday, we had a lockdown. They disguised it as the prisoner count not clearing at the jail a few miles away. Well, today we find out that it was to suppress a gun threat situation. There was no gun, just a threat yesterday. There have been rumors floating around everywhere that something might happen today.

Needless to say, I won't be going in. :(

That's horrible...Well I hope they take this seriously and not just pass it off. I wouldn't be able to go there for at least week

there's something wrong with zoning laws in your area if they put a prison near a school :O

and to top it off you had a potentially dangerous situation ..I'd be putting a for sale sign on my front lawn

I bet the sewer pipe in shawshank leads to his front lawn

Yeah, I don't know what a prison is doing near our school. It's probably 5-10 miles away.

what happens if one of them escapes? ..what if he's a pedo? 5-10 miles isnt that far ..it's like putting a Baskin Robbins next to a Weight watchers only with more rape

:O

Speeding fines are doubled in a prisoner escape zone

The school goes on lockdown like I said.

it was rhetorical but ya ..seems like the logical thing to do ..unless he gets in before the lockdown ..which is, well ... worse :O

btw does this sort of thing happen enough that you're familiar with school procedure?

btw I'm yanking your chain a little ..just because it seems like such an odd thing to have near a school

Whenever they have a miscount we have a lockdown also. There isn't much of a procedure to it. Teachers lock all of the doors and nobody is allowed into the hall. The class continues though.

They have a miscount maybe once a year. That doesn't mean anybody is really missing or has escaped.

do the prisioners stare at the kids from their cells, naked?
