Half Life 2, 3 Days?

There might be some spoliers in here, especialy if you havent finished the game all the way through.

I posted this over at the Steam forums but didnt really get much enthusiasm from the people there so thought I'd try here, (Best for last )


Before "Episode 1" comes out I plan on playing Half Life 2 again. I think im right in thinking that the game takes place over 3 days (not including the missing week in the teleporter) And try and finish 1 hour - 30 minuits before "Episode 1" is unlocked. Again depending on the time of the unlocking.

So I had an idea, to prolong the experiance of "Episode 1" I thought that starting on the 29th of May (or 30th depending on what time Episode 1 is unlocked on the 1st of June) I will do a day of Half Life each day. I will try and finish 1 hour to 30 minuits before "Episode 1" is unlocked. Again depending on the time of the unlocking.


Now this is where my question comes in, Where do the days finish/start. For example. We know the first day starts at the train station, but where does it finish? I think its at Eli's Lab just before the base is stormed.

Then the next day is from there, through Ravenholm, along HighWay 17 and onto Nova Prospekt. And the final day is from there, the Street Fighting and ends at the Citadel.

I know the answer might seem obvious to some, but I just wont to get it right so I can have a good experiance. And share this idea with others who might like to do the same.

Load the console, then type "maps *" without the speech marks,

The maps are labeled based on the days

i.e. d1_trainstation_01, work it out from there

I think you should stop playing for the missing week and sleep... the whole way through with no toilet breaks. That would simulate being put into stasis. Then between HL2 and Episode 1 sleep for about 5 minutes and wake up and play...blah blah.. .then if you are put into stasis at the end... sleep until Episode 2. *nods*

Ravenholm at night... thatll be scary for some ppl of course hehe trainstation should start at 11am in the afternoon and hang out at the station before the fence for lunch...coast to nova prospekt GOOD ONE Riomhaire:thumbs: Entanglemant to Dark energy, you should start real early! cuz the game ends at around 5pm so start at mabye 1? or 12?
