Half Life 2 Mod Makers Guide (Prima)

Is this a offical mod book, also does anyone have any information about how useful it is for beginners etc.., is there lots of pretty pictures

Prima have worked a lot with Valve on this as far as I know. I believe that even Fragmaster (ex PHL site director) did a lot of work on it.

Fragmaster reminds me of a shithole. Nothing good ever comes out.

Ha, then don't by the Mod Maker's Guide, that's for sure. I think that for Prima to release a mod makers guide, it'll be visual and pretty easily understood. I mean, I haven't seen any other mod making guidebooks at EB or anywhere...("Mod Maker's Guide to DOOM3," among the first, I would think.), so it's not like they have any history of being vauge and difficult, or not. IMO, I think it'll be just like a Prima walkthrough--pretty and simple, and pretty simple.

Off topic, but I read the Doom 3 strategy guide in Gamestop 2 days before the game release. (tried to avoid massive spoilers)
