Half Life : Redemption

I remember a game by this name (I think) that came with Half-Life retail and was a new SP game. I didn't finish it and it was abandoned when Steam came about. Does anyone know anything about this? Who was it made by? Was it Half LIfe universe? Am I just imagining this? War, what is it good for?

Redemption was a mod (so it's not part of the storyline).

Valve liked it enough to distribute it, I guess.

If I remember correctly that mod had a 12 year old kid do the voice of the gman. Although the actual acting part of it was good enough the voice part was pretty horrible.

Vivendi liked it enough. Valve likely had nothing to do with its inclusion, simply because it could lead to cannonical ambiguities by being endorsed.
