Halflife 2 Deathmatch / Server help!!

ok i made a map on Hammer and i want to put it on my own server but i dont know how?!!? and i have Source Dedicated Server but when i even start a server it only works for like 3 mins then the lanticy goes to 2000 and then it says < not responding > so what do i do!??!

When you make a dedicated server for yourself, and then go onto it yourself, you will indeed get a latency of 2000 (most of the time), because you are both running the server and trying to go onto it. Host a listen server to be able to run the server and be on it at the same time.
