A few times for reasons that need not be disclosed.

No and for obvious reasons, haha.

"Triple zero is an easy number to remember. When an emergency arises you think oh, oh oh."

I've called the Swiss equivalent of it from a pay phone. I yelled into the phone and told them I had a broken penis and then hung up.

Not my proudest moment.

I love you.

Anyway, yes, food allergies.

Once when my dad almost died by falling off the roof directly on his head.

No. Because it's 111 over here. Makes much more sense. And I've dialled several times for various reasons. Although I do know a few people who HAVE dialled 911 over here - thanks to too many American TV shows.

Here it's 755, and no I've never called. If you do however, you get the typical "we're too busy to help" response.

NO BECAUSE IT IS 999

Pedantry aside, no I have not. The closest thing would be phoning a special hospital line thing because for my dad - he was feeling chest pains and was getting quite worried about it.

I have..and hung up...alot.

I was 7..cops came and ate me out. I laugh about it still.

Nope, never called 666. Hope I'll never will either.

I called 112 and was suprised to find it was actually a substitute for 999 and hung up with fright.

Actually, that didn't happen, my life is more boring than that.

I've called 999 once, for a legitimate reason obviously (people who prank call emergency lines should die miserably).

112 is the 911 of europe, works in every European State.

I've done hang up calls. They call back the phone you called from though. Scared the shit out of me when I was about 9.

Hey! Heres a funny idea! Lets have EVERYONE make a joke about how their emergency number is different! LMAO THAT WOULD BE SO FUNNY!

...

And nope, never called any emergency line. My mom told me to call them because of my neighbors, but I said "NO U" so she did instead.

In Australia they dial 666... because they're upside down.

I called a month or so ago because this older Ford pickup had slammed into the side of this new Nissan and trapped the driver in there at this intersection I was at...they said they had already dispatched rescue, though, so someone beat me to it...

No, but crazy story.

I was hanging out at a friends house helping him watch his baby sister. She got a hold of the phone, so I tried to get it from her, but my friend said it was fine. About thirty minutes later the cops come a knockin' at the door.

^^ lol

I got in a car wreck last halloween. Stupid old people, with their nice boats, and they have to slow down for the dip in the road.

Here in the UK, it's not 911...

it's 0118 999 881 999 119 725 3

Yes, I got that memo.

It's 8675309 here. Singing while dialing is optional.

I've accidentally dialed 112 from an old landline, just by messing about with the pick up / put down switch. If you tap it once, it registers as a 0. Twice is a 1, and so on.

So, if you tap it twice, then twice again, then three times, (in pulses with a pause in between each number) then it actually dials 112.

Most UK phone lines support pulse dialing like this (it's support for older phones) so if you're in need of emergency help, and all you have access to is a phone line (but no phone) just strip the wire and start pulsing that code by tapping the wires together. 2, 2, 3.

Hannibal Lecter once used that method to dial outside of his prison cell.

actually, my brother did once cause too many ads were being called to our house, and it still does to this day =(

Yes. Hick neighbor was screaming at his daughter in his front yard.

yup, for a big fire on the hill near our house, but i was beaten by a bunch of other people apparently

I prank call that number all the time. What is it used for anyway?
