In one of the wrecked cars there's an ammo crate

As you haven't specified which gunship you're trying to down, I can only assume it's the first one. Check out the shacks around you and you should find more rockets. Failing that, your resistance pals will hand you rockets if you stand near them.

As for the second encounter, look one post above.

Thanks Guys - I know I must be stupid but I have already looked everywhere for more ammo without success - went back to the buildings I have just left smashing all crates and throught all the grass leading to the broken bridge

Any further help?

If you took a screenshot and showed us where you are, we could help you out a lot better.

After the crane bit and the jump, look in the van at all the wrecked cars blocking the road for a big ammo crate that you press your "use" key to open.

(It's also possible to just smack the cars blocking the road out of the way with the gravity gun and drive off and ignore the gunship.)

Still Stuck

Hi Guys

Thanks for the comments. I have used the crane to lift my buggy up. Cleared the hangers of enemy and now have to drive up the road to the bit where the road ends

No matter where I have looked I can't find ammo

if this is the gunship that attacks right after you first receive the rocket launcher from the chubby british guy, make sure you look in the buildings thoroughly (i.e. second levels) ... and as mentioned, your friends will supply you with one each time you're empty and standing next to them.

Ah, you need to use the buggy's turbo to jump over the hole in the bridge.

Then just continue down the road until you find the ammo.
