HL2 crashes

When ever i try to play hl2 it crashes and gives me a box that says
hl2 has encounter an error
SEND or DONT SEND
can u help me

ati radeon 9600
512 ddr ram
40gig hard drive

ok i tryeid every thing i could think of so i took some pics

when i try to open the game its comes up this

then when i try to join a room on any hl2 mod it gives me this

Thats only needed if you want the CCC driver version, regular CP driver doesn't need it.

No you don't, VALVe did their OWN CD crack via steam a few weeks after HL2 was released.

No, you do NOT.... NOT need your cd's. As long as you have the CD-Key registered with Steam, you can re-download the content at any point and time. DO NOT BUY the game again.

Correct. When HL2 was first released, they did force you to use the CD... but now you can just install/play purely through steam.
