HL2: Ending [Spoiler Warning]

Alright, so you take out the Dark Fussion reactor. ::BOOM:: pretty much. GMan appears. I shine my flash light on him. The light spot on him, it goes right through him and shines on the enviroment. Maybe he really isn't there. He says his thing a few lines in. Teleport sound plays. Everyone turns to a greyscale expect the GMan. I shine the flashlight again now the light shines on the GMan and no on the enviorment. And the rest as we know is history.

AFAIK photons are time invarient, as in they are just as happy travelling backwards in time as forwards, how they would behave in a chronostatic environment i have no idea but i expect if you do you'd be getting a call from the folks who hand out the Nobel prizes

The GMan is never physically at the Dark Fussion Reactor. Time slowed down in Gordon's prespective. The GMan's image appears. Gordon is then teleportered to a different location. To the GMan's domain, his physical presence and so on.

That looks like a bug. The GMan is there, physically. He picks lint off Alyx's hand to show that. Also, when time slows down, you can still walk. Try walking into the GMan when he appears. You won't go through him, you will bump into him, just like you bump into any other person. The GMan really appears in the Citadel.

When he appears at the end, he fades in, which always confused me a tad, but whatever. If you look closely, there's a slightly odd edge to him at that point. It looks to me, not like some clue to who/what he is, but how his image has been implemented into that scene - like an imposed .jpg or something like that. He simply doesn't look like a proper model at that point. And yeah, I'm running it on high model detail.
