Computer & Video Games has posted an article citing that Vavle currently has a version of "Half-Life 2" running on Xbox hardware. According to the article, the graphics are very close to the PC version of the game with slight reduced detail levels. The game should be released soon after its PC counterpart, which should be later this summer.

XBox is basically a crippled PC .... so it can't have a *slight* decrease, It'll have a *Massive* decrease in Graphics Power. And the Physics will be shot too ...... along with mods as well ....

See why I'm getting the PC version ?

And I forgot to mention Auto-Aim on XBox, you should have to aim properly to shoot/kill someone, not score a *partial* hit to kill them .....

I'm sure they call Doom 3 X-Box a "slight decrease in detail levels" as well. Curiously enough earlier this year I was at a store called Game Crazy (it's a game store built into Hollywood Video chains), and there was a mock HL2 X-Box case. Had the picture of Gordon walking through the snow, glasses fogged, holding his crowbar.

And I don't think it'll be released, "soon" after PC. That's highly doubtful. Maybe a few months at least.

Besides playing FPS games on console hurts. I love my consoles (Dreamcast and PS2), but man, playing Max Payne 2 on PS2 was blah.

halo played well on the xbox (though you had more accuarcy on the pc version) sometimes its good to not have to be so cramped on the keyboard for a few hours or whatever.
