You're lucky I didn't ban you... oh wait.

Lately I've realized that the whole story behind Half-Life will never be fully explained. I think Valve realizes the genius of those old horror movies, where you'd never really see the entire monster or why it's there, but you're given hints on what it does and how it acts, leaving it up to the audience to fill in the peices for themselves. If Valve fully disclosed every answer to ever question in sequels, then it would ruin it for the player. Sure, you think you want to know, but really, in the long run, you want to be safe in your own conclusions, which is picture perfect in your own mind.

So really, trying to explain anything in Half-Life that has been left unexplained and claim it as fact is foolish, as the writer tries very hard to make sure he doesn't make one explanation more plausible than another.

Everyone truly knows what Half-Life is, and then again, no one does.

Well if you like to annoy NPCs they way I do, you have probably heard a certain line from a vortigaunt:

"We serve the same mystery".

Obviously the only mystery we serve is GMan (it could be Dr. Kleiner... But nah...). The vortigaunts serve the GMan in some way, or they cooperate with him. They must play a great role in helping Freeman, and we don't notice it. Not just by mounting a gun on the airboat or charging our suit up. There's more to them than meets the eye.

Even before you go practice with the bugbait, the vortigaunts say lines like, "Pardon us, we will talk in your native vocals, unless we have unflattering things to say about you."

I wonder if they're talking to each other about the gman's doings, and what he's doing with Gordon..

If this turns out to be a thing like The Truman Show, I'll be pissed.

No, no it won't.

They were discussing Gordon's sexual orientation!

They could be made out of polycarbonate lenses, meaning thin and light..Yeah..That's what mine are...

I would laugh my ass off if HL3 Promoted Specsavers and did a Advert with Gordon freeman in it :D

OMG?! Maybe he is a human!

He is a human, stop thinking he is some alien. Maybe he is the Xen diplomat for the world.

Could be Barneys Dad? Never seen Barneys Dad... he never talks about him, lol.

That would explain a lot....

I still think it's creepy that the guy who does the voice of Barney also does the voice of the Gman.

Connection?

Nah
