Just like in the concept art, dog will rip off the striders metal skin & expose the striders circuitry.

But at the end, I like Mike's line.

thats all fine n dandy i think the better question is, where and for what reason in the game would we just be sitting there watching dog beat the ever living outta the strider and not do something about it.

Well, since only explosives hurt striders, if it happens when we only have non-explosive weapons, we'll just be sitting there watching dog beat the ever living outta the strider and not do something about it. Except saying: "thanks dog".
