So when I save up enough for the down payment, I might get a Caterham 7

I'm not sure anymore, they used to be made by Lotus, but I don't know if they are still being made.

Yes. It's sold as a kit car because it's too expensive for a small company to get it certified for safety by the government. If they sell it as a kitcar it doesn't need to be safety-certified. Which is why it doesn't have airbags

I think they were inspired by the caterham 7 when they designed the 340R, I like it, It looks like an alien.

catherhams are really small, I've seen them, they are scary to drive in real life, They were also built in the 70s by lotus. So ur buying a used car. BUT ITS SURELY ****IN Fun TO DRIVE, if u get the one with ford focus's svt engine installed.

Never heard of a ford SVT engine; unless that's another name for the Duratec. Some people prefer the K-Series Rover though.

Yeah it is a Lotus, I'm not sure if its actually in production though.

I remember sitting in the prototype, but that was ages ago, mabye its just made in Malaysia with proton, I'm not sure.
