Ok im looking for the text type up of what the G-Man says behind the window (where he is whispering. There are like 10 files of him talking in the game but you can only really make out the end) what the Vortigaunt say and what Nihilanth says.

I want the 100% real text. I remember someone posted this before but i cant find it. I need to show a friend.

I cant have anything from Half-Life 2 also, He just beat Half-Life and hates spoilers.

Here's what Wikiquote says about the G-man's mumblings.

At the beginning of the game, the player can view the G-Man supposedly arguing with a scientist in an inaccessable room. Note that these quotes are only guesses after repeated listens, since the files have been deliberately muffled. Additionally, their meanings are difficult for one to interpret:

* "We should not let the system commence." gman_mumble1.wav

* "I want to give you an offer you won't regret." or "I don't think I even asked you that" gman_mumble3.wav

* "If I had wondered why I'd chosen him, I would certainly..." gman_mumble4.wav

* "My employers don't agree!" gman_mumble5.wav

* "You're a scientist, and a fraud. Back off." gman_mumble6.wav

gman_mumble2.wav is completely incomprehensible.

The scientist responds with:

* "I have told you a hundred times; I am opposed to pushing this equipment beyond its safe levels." c1a0_sci_mumble.wav

Only 3 of the G-Man's lines (1, 4 and 5) and the scientist's line are played in-game.

I always figured they were speaking in their own language that we couldn't comprehend.

And then HL2 came along and it turned out that their own language sounded the typical sci-fi slightly Arabic sound-alike alien language and that they spoke English like a gasping asthmatic doing a shit impression of a vaguely racist Jamaican stereotype.

I'm writing what the Vortigaunt says now, so in a bit it should appear in here.

"We remember the Freeman. We are conterminous. There is no distance between us. No false veils of time or space me intervene... We see you still in black mesa... Clearly we see you in the Nihilanth's chamber... We bear witness to the bright eternity of the Nihilanth's demise. You leap, you fall, we see you flash between the barriers... For a brief time you joined us, you are one between the worlds. Communion of the vortessence, and that other, a deeper mystery. No deeper than the void it's self. We cannot forget those whose cords you cut. Forgiveness is not ours to bestow. Unity of purpose, the shattering of common shackles, a single road we tread. The song we sing and shall sing for eternity no matter the consequences of this struggle... You have brought us grief and jubilation beyond measure... We are there still in observance of your final stroke... While our own lay scattered at your feet, you severed the cord that bound the Nihilanth to life and to us... That sharp spur of hope has not dulled to this day, for once the lesser master lay defeated, we knew the greater must also fall in time. With you besides us, (he says the s) a talisman of victory, the day of freedom draws Nigh. Your bright face obscures your darker mask... We call you Sib, although your mind and meaning are a mystery to us... Far distant eyes look out through yours. Something secret steers us both... We shall not name it. We have endured the chaffing bonds for eons, yet single moment of further servitude seems intolerable. How often have we slipped out yolk only to find it choking us again? Let this war end in either total victory, or our extinction... No further compromise shall we allow... We take our stand here beside you here upon this miserable rock. The way ahead is dark for the moment... What seems to you a sacrifice is merely to us an osculation. We do not fear the interval of darkness. We are a tapestry woven of vortessence, it is the same for you if only you would see it... How many are there in you? Whose hopes and dreams do you encompass? If you could but see the eyes inside your own, the minds in your mind, you would see how much we share. We are you Freeman, and you are us."

Some of it might need critiqued, but I know that that's everything he says. I got it all down now. Hope it's all right. :)

Some other random garb. "We have survived worse across the ages... We shall prevail. Our finest poet describes it thus: 'Gallum gak abilliba'. This is more than anyone can bear... But we will persevere. Where to now, and to what end? Our cause seems hopeless."

EDIT: Ohh wait, you mean from hl1? Vortigaunt's don't speak English in hl1. :o

Well I spent an hour getting all this shit down, just show it to him after he beats it. ><

Havas...Cs_Havana? Who knew they were such fans of Counter - Strike...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Havas

On November 20, 1998, Cendant announced the sale of its entire consumer software division to Paris-based Havas S.A., France's largest media company. Havas, in turn, was a newly acquired business unit of Vivendi S.A., a huge water utility conglomerate with more than 220.000 employees, expanding into the media and telecommunications business. With this sale, Sierra became a part of Havas Interactive, the interactive entertainment division of the company.
