... what would you do?

(Assuming you don't know who the original owner is.)

I know you've all been asked this before, but I'm curious as to what you all would do.

I would probably secure my own economic needs as well as my family's, and give the rest to some stem cell research organization.

I'd be wary of why I found so much money, and possibly even scared thinking whoever owned it would find me.

I'd also worry how I might act because of it.

Ever seen the movie A Simple Plan?

Man that was a good movie.

Give it back to the owner or if they didn't deserve it i would give it to a cause more worthy...

How much money is "immense?" Are we postulating that there is enough money to do whatever you would want with it, and the only limit is your imagination?

Because if that's the case, I'd buy an island. And I'd start building on that island.

Yeah, it depends on the amount of money, and the circumstances of when and where I found it.

If I found a thousand bucks on the street, i'd probably keep it. If I found 20,000 bucks on the street, I'd probably turn it in.

If I found 500 grand in Zimbabwe, I'd keep it.

I'd try to launder it as quickly as possible.

Actually this year I found $1500 in the form of a gift card on the sidewalk and I spent all of it. Free lunches for almost 4 months.

Id turn it in to the police, in sweden there is a law that if you turn in money to the police you are entitled a 10% finders fee if someone claims it, if no one claims it after x time its yours.

That's an awesome law. I'd rob banks, ditch the money somewhere, "find" it, turn it in, take 10% and have the rest returned to the banks!

It's totally worth the risk of life and limb!:E

I'd buy my own laboratories, give some money to RDF, donate new Valve projects, make some epic movies...

I'd create OMFG Online and put money into it.

My imagination fails.

Id custom make a silencer for a shotgun and videotape myself walking down a long hallway, changing angles every 6 seconds...

Those are such long camera shots. You need to be more modern, with camera cuts ever 1 to 1.5 seconds.

I was about to ask you how you could spend so much money on just lunches, even if it were for four months... but then I realized that its only about 13 bucks a day, which is how much a meal usually costs.

Holy shit food is expensive.

first hide it and keep it cool for about a year, so the owner cant find it. Then slowly invest in some kind of business that would help me set an economical and financial base for my future so incase my life goes like shite i always have some kind of income. For example, start with a Lan Cafe, then 2, and then create a whole network of lan cafes etc and have a high and steady income of money and simply put aside rest of the money i found and use it when its really needed.

It was more like 30 dollars a day, 5 days a week. About $10 on coffees in the morning and $20 on lunch. I'd buy meals for my friends a lot.

Turn it into the police, 'cuz it's probably counterfeit or stolen or whatever.

1-Acura RSX with a complete JDM engine,HKS Stage 1 turbo,Enkei ZR2 rims,Brembro big brake kit,K&N air induction kit,Clutch Masters flywheel,Mugen kit

2-Supra,you know why

3-Nissan Skyline GT-R R34,its the most desired street car in the world, and, well,I want one

depends on the sum. If it was around 1k, i might keep it, if it was a huge sum, id turn it in, and hope whoever the rich ****er who lost it is generous enough to reward me with a cut.

Probably throw it all in savings if it's $100-$20,000. Upwards of that and I may have a bit of fun with some of it. :)

I would buy a comfortably large house with a lot of property somewhere secluded and forest-y, drop out of college and just read, write, and play/make video games for the rest of my life.

I'd enroll in college. Then drop out. Then buy the college.

I'd buy a long strip of land along the equator, set up a rail gun, and fire large chunks of my future space station in orbit to be assembled by my new and privately owned Space Program.

Keep it. Spend it on however much it will buy me. If it's enough to buy me everything that I've ever wanted, then I would invest it. Assuming that it's in the tens of millions, It would go into a bank account that has a good interest rate, and I would live comfortably off of the interest.
