the site has a counter that expires in 28 days ..wonder what it is ..here's some speculation that it's not Halo3 but rather Oblivion, but I just dont see it ...anyone want to try to decipher it?

If you click on the counter(I noticed it had Dest:index.html when checking the sourecode) you will come up to

That would make no sense in the Elder Scrolls 4 word, considering even when your in the real of Oblivion, it's not void it's not nothing.

Then also if you go to www.ilovebees2.com, and check the source code you will notice it is keeping track on how many people have guessed the login password at this site:

You will also notice that everything is handled by: www.ilovebees2.com/gdform.asp also found by looking at the source code:
http://www.ilovebees2.com/gdform.asp, if you go there you will find that no variable was givin so it does nothing(states this)

My best guess is that no matter what you put in, it will always bring you to the error page because of 2 simple lines:
<input type="hidden" name="subject" value="error" />
<input type="hidden" name="redirect" value="error.html" />

now if there actually is a passowrd It wouldn't be hard to write a script to utilize the way they've done this but you'd have to guess the subject or changing the redirect could alter where it brings you. You could also just guess www.ilovebees2.com/whateverhere....

Now going back I noticed

comes up whenver you hit a page that does not exist. Well if anyone knows any holes in ASP, better utilize em now.

Read this last night and thought it was pretty darn uninteresting really--especially since all the sites that mentioned it showed the comparison photos, taking much of the guesswork out of it. Viral marketing is getting pretty annoying IMHO.

"ilovebees2" features a black screen with lines of random letters, numbers, and symbols. I don't really see it for Oblivion. What could they possibly do with it? For Halo 2, it revealed the storyline. I don't see the need to do that for a fantasy game.

Assuming it is actually about Halo 3, the line "...mQHello?Is this message getting through?please help its dark and I cannot find a way out they are coming pl****TERMINATEDmpR..." would definitely fit within the setting. A text-only transmission from an AI construct trapped within a Covenant ship.

Or it could come from within a Human system. As the "SIII" project in the books was never expanded upon in Halo 2, it leaves the door open for some sort of strife from within the human ranks. Though that wouldn't make for a particularly good story arc...

It seems odd they would relate it back to Oblivion though, I don't see how the transmissions could be related to Oblivion...

The only thing I see is either a big press release regarding Halo 3 at the end of the month (or another game) or more phone calls and a stupid story build out of small 30 second clips that really had nothing to do with Halo at all

They did. They told the Halo 2 plot if I'm not mistaken. They just didn't use any Halo terms/characters/places.

i don't think it's 'real,' sadly .. probably another 'fake' viral marketing like that other one a few months ago.

gdform.asp (or gdform.php) is a generic script on all hosting provided by godaddy, it's basically used for scripts in general, mostly mailing ones.

No variables sent to form! Unable to process request.

that's just a normal error and the reason you get this (when you go straight to it, not entering a password) is because there really are no variables.

when you do enter a password, there are variables in the header, for example (sds being the password i just threw in):

Subject=Form+Submission&redirect=error.html&Password=sds&submit=Access+Database

i quickly tried some basic sql injection but nothing much.

before they updated the pages, i would say there was no password and no matter what you went to the error page, now i would say there might be, but it still seems so fake, or just really badly coded.

that 3.jpg (what is it ? i'll take it into photoshop later and have a look) was made on (or last edited on) 3 march 2006 @ 6:50pm, using photoshop 7 -- useless and i may be incorrect, but i doubt it.

there's some other stuff i've had a look at too, i'll post it later.

anyone know of a forum [thread] where they're 'investigating' this in detail ?

Partly, they have people on the forum who have been captured, and a few of the members are other characters in the game, although it's mostly people trying to discover the answer (actual members no apart of the game)
