installing on 2 pcs

I am about to purchase Half life 2 but am a bit concerned with regards to registering product due to steam. If i load it onto my pc will i be able to load it on my laptop as well using same code. At the moment i have a pc with broadband but shortly i will be living elsewere for a while so will be buying a lap top. This will mean a new email address etc so will i be able to run it on both

So long as you use the same Steam login information, yes - you'll have to download the cache on the laptop again, though.

As long as you have the account name / password, you can play from anywhere in the world so long as HL2 is installed, regardless of cd-key. You don't need to register HL2 twice, only once and then use the steam account on the other comp.
