Recenty I was unfortunate enough to purchase an iphone. Now, £300 or so in debt, I begin to question my sanity at the time.

Anyway to the point - does anyone here have any recommendations as to games? Free / paid / in depth / pick up and play / I try pretty much anything. So far everything has been somewhat sub standard (in before 'apple is sub standard')

so yeah any suggestions?

Scribblenaughts Remix - way too easy but fun to kill time with and its only $.99 Scramble/Words/Hanging with friends - so long as you have people to play with. Theyre free and have unlimited replay value. GTA 3 and Vice City - The controls actually work very well and the game is smooth suprisingly. Theyre like $4.99 but for the amount of time killing potential you get, well worth it.

Similarly for Android. Something other than Angry Birds to pass ten minutes. Not a make-the-numbers-go-up online thing where you're supposed to sign in ever day.

League of Evil (1 is a lot better than 2) and Mos Speedrun are platforming essentials especially for completitionists. I wasted hours and hours with them.

Groove Coaster is a critically acclaimed must-have rhythm game. I said must-have. Buy it now.

Right now I'm addicted to a word puzzle game called 7 Little Words. 50 free puzzles + a free one every day, available for 3 days + hundreds if not thousands of cheap DLC puzzles. You need to try it.

Whatever you do don't get any of the LucasArts adventure games. The touch controls they set up are terrible.

If you havent already played it Plants Vs Zombies is a must and works really well on the touch screen.

I've recently downloaded Jetpack Joyride for free from Google Play and it's a simple, yet pretty addicting little game - it should be available for iOS as well.

Death Rally was pretty fun for some time as well, when I played in on the iPod Touch.

YES man, YES. This is nigh on perfect. Everyone must play this

Really? That's bad news. I was just eyeing up Escape from Monkey Island... Surely they cant have ****ed that up too bad?

You're in debt already, don't waste more money. That's how poor people behave.

I have monkey island and that is the one I'm referring to specifically. There are times when you have to do specific actions on very small items. At first it's like any other game where you are getting used to the controls but after a while it just becomes so tedious. It takes like 5 presses to do one thing at times. I started getting a headache and stopped before I even got into the canon.

Everyone at my work plays subway surfer, it looks alright if you're looking for casual fun.

You bastard. I spent like 3 hours playing this today after downloading it!

7 little words is addicting as hell. I bought all the packs. At .99 cents each how could you not? Until I realized I spent like $14
