Honestly, I've played this game so often (going through it fully again for the first time since HL2) that I no longer find it enjoyable.
Almost every aspect of the game has dwindled in my eyes, from the level construction (now seemingly very simple to me) to the NME AI (average at best, even the ninjas). Also, the limited lighting and textures also show themselves up, and there seem to be more graphical bugs than ever before, like z-fighting and so forth. Even Black Mesa has lost its appeal, now the graphics have dated so badly.
And why does Gordon wear roller skates!? From the amount of drift after you release the keys it's like he's oiled them!
There was a recent poll on which HL was better, and I voted for HL1. I'm now beginning to reconsider, and also, once I've played my way through to Xen once more, I'm probably going to bin the CD.
Well, HL has given me many years of pleasure, mainly through TFC and CS, but now I have CS:CZ it doesn't matter so much, as I'd rather play multiplayer stuff instead, or with bots.
Aagh! I don't know what to do!
