I went down to NY for the day with my girlfriend on Friday to meet her mom and while we were there we went to times square and ground zero. Firstly, times square was ALOT bigger than i imagined. I have never seen that many people outside of a sports game or concert. The funny part is I saw a lot of stuff i remembered from GTA. I can now say the attention to detail is unreal.

Ground zero was pretty crazy as well. It was tough to actually get a good spot to look from but it's amazing how big the hole is...

Our hotel room was amazing. Somehow my girlfriend got a discount, so we got a 1200 dollar room for about 350. It came with a massage chair and two flatscreen tv's. I suppose since we were staying in Manhattan I should of expected that, but the massage chair was a nice surprise.

So that's my New York story, anyone else been?

no but i'd like to go, especially since they are filming the live action akira movie there :D

Furthest i've been from London is probably Austria. Go me.

(random useless comment)

I spent 4 days there last August with my brother, his wife and some of her siblings. We got a pretty decent hotel room for a cheap price about 7 blocks south from Times Square. It was tons of fun and I want to go back sometime.

I definitely couldn't live there though. It smells way too much in too many places and I think it would just be too damn busy for my taste.

I'd kill for NY pizza though. *drool*

Ive been, was good but overated as a city, was just a shit loada tall buildings to me, but still good.

ya, it does smell and I dont think I could live there either

I went on top of the World Trade centers the year before they were destroyed. :\

I went a few months ago for Blade Runner: The Final Cut and yeah, it's GTA. I also saw Times Square and it feels like you are there. Like if you have seen the "Today" show or something, you are there and it is busy. I also saw the Ripley Museum but never saw the World Trade Center. My class went there like 2 months before it collapsed and even took pictures at the top. Unfortunately though my parents wouldn't let me go because it was an overnight stay. Sure it's ok but not with the savages back in middle school. Most became bums from that school anyways including one a boxer. Also my parents always feared for a terrorist attack happening again, especially after their first attempt. Sure enough when my principle announced the attack over the intercom my first thought was "wtf is that place? Oh...I think it's that place my class visited like 2 months ago. DAMMIT WHY DIDN'T YOU GO!" :( I love the place though and I didn't find it smelly. IMO Boston is more smellier, crime ridden, smaller, and more boring. Oh and I saw the Chrysler building as well. OMG at the art of steel and Art Nouveau style. That's Bioshock for you people. :D

Ive driven through it a couple times. Worst place to drive ive ever seen. I only ever stayed there for like 3 days or something when I was a lot younger. Dont remember much of it besides sucking at using roller blades in a park.

I think I went last summer or before. Of course we stayed at friends' houses. It was pretty tiring with all the walking. My mom wanted to see the square but at that point we were all feet dead so even though we saw it I was pretty much 'meh.' Though my eyes do remember so it was pretty awesome. Also went to the statue base but didn't go in, figures they closed it.

Hey guys stop bashing my state. :(

Oh wait ...... you're talking about NYC...

Please continue. :p

I want to go there. Someday I shall.

NY state is another weird/great area. It looks like a NH, Vermont, or Maine countryside. Then when you get closer to NYC you start to see the skyscrapers and then the massive amounts of gravestones. I really love NYC though because I don't mind walking and I love the city.

I want to go, but prolly wont lol.

wonder what their clubs are like
