lack of diffrent enemies(possible spoilers)

i was surprised at how few diffrent enemies there were,
there were the head crabs,the zombies,soldiers,the huge spider things in the end,and some fyling robot things....is it me or did hl1 have more types of enemies....im kinda dissapointed...when flying through the citidel in that rail thing u see 3-4 new ones. im like yay new enemies to kill!! sadly...nope...ne thoughts?

hmmm.... there was only a difference of maybe one or two bad guys in Half life 2 compared to half life 1.

The Houndeyes (dog things) were cut from the game, on account of the Leak. Same thing with the Bullsquids.

The "Electric things" are actually alien slaves, who when freed from Nihilanth's control become Vortigaunts (who you see working with the resistance.)

Those things that shot homing hornets at you are called "Alien Grunts" and I can't think of a reason for why they aren't there. They were probably killed off by the Combine, the Marines in the first game, or they're stuck in Xen right now with no effective way to reach us.

The big guys with the flamethrowers are called "Gargantuas" or just "Gargs/Gargants." Seeing as how they are large and dangerous, I could see the Combine hunting them to extinction. Probably from the air with Gunships.

I have no clue about the slime spitter things that you're talking about. Do you mean Bullsquids? Those are the only critters that I can think of that actually shot slime at you.

Why are you not banned? seriously, go start another "what is your average race" poll or something...

And Woot, I think they wanted to keep the enemies you actually fight to a minimum, I don't think the combine want some of their freakier experiments running around in the open.

Bullsquids are in the game, run out into the water in the Sandtraps level when you are beginning the siege of Nova Prospekt on the beach.

hm...i did that by accident the first time i played through hl2, and all i found were leeches, eating me reaaaly quickly

The alien grunts are a combination of the Combine and the Alien. They were the normal aliens, taking the next step of "evolution", which dr. Breen states is so important for the combine. The reason the Combine don't use them in HL2 is probably because the production of them stopped when you killed nihilanth and the Xen aliens were set free.

There are no Bullsquids in HL2, however in the water there are leeches, plus when you teleport you can see that giant fish (can't remember it's name)

You forgot to mention the Ant Lions, and the big Ant Lions.
