On July 2nd, 2002, Savage made rude comments about the handicapped workers at the Phoenix Cafe. He said they would put dung in diners food. He made lots of references to toilet habits and the handicapped. He asked listeners if they would like the waiter to drool in their food. Then he started making up names for the food on the menu, such as "nutburger" and many others.

Savage has bashed the supporters of kids with autism, He ridiculed a major report that California was experiencing a rapid increase in the incidence of autism. He stated that the autism lobby of devastated parents was just a scam to get more money.

On today's show, June 4th, 2004, Mike told a story of how when he was younger, he touched the hand of a midget. He said it really freaked him out and since that episode, he doesn't like public places
