loading hf2 episode one

dammit...just got this game yesterday put in the drive,nothing....
Went back to Best buy,they put it in their computer...no problem
Use the other computer (older model) E machine...no problem

The half life 2 games is no problem...F.E.A.R. game ,no problem on this computer....now what?

nvidia geforce fx 5500
intel celeron cpu 2.53ghz

2 of them...again no problems loading newer games at all...
So what next?

Just go into steam, go to options and press add new game, and type in the CDkey

I dont see any options in the steam area. this is what i have and I looked in all of them.
