machinima question

yea i know this is really off topic and go ahead and delete this whenever someone answers me but i know u guys will be able to answer my question since ur so smart....ok here it is what do i do to make machinima?do i just record a demo then like in some editor edit the scenes that were recorded in the demo? also where is the demo put when i save it? i looked around in my dod folder and didnt see it. alright thats all

yeah, whats a machinima? when you record a demo in HL it saves it as a .dem file in whatever mod folder your playing. if you want to make a movie like an avi of a demo you need to find a tutorial, as it is somwhat difficult to explain in one post. just search "convert half life demo to avi" or somthing along those lines into google and im sure a few things will come up for you to start with. i lost the link to a good tutorial a while ago though.

there is a command for half-life that captures video, i cant remember it, you can set the FPS. It saves it as thousands of BMP files, which have a HUGE ASS total file size, and you have to use a program to string them together as an AVI.

In my day they were demo movies. They had Quake characters killing other Quake characters or eating balls. Or some shit.

But evidently calling a movie a movie is too hard for some people.

I blame Europe, or possibly Canada.

Maybe Asia.
