Meditating Vortiguant?

Ok, so I found this vortiguant spewing info about the story in a secret pipe by in the canals. See the screenshots attached.

Among other things, he says:

1. We shall prevail.
2. We remember the Freeman, we are coterminus.
3. No distance or false veils of time may intervene.
4. We see you still in Black Mesa in the Nihilanth's chamber.
5. This more than any one can bear but we preserve.
6. You are one between worlds.
7. Where now and to what end?
8. Your bright face obscures your darker mask.

I am paraphrasing a bit, and he also says a lot more. Mostly about how we are the same, and how important freedom is.

- does that mean he still sees you in Black Mesa and in the Nihilanth's chamber or does it mean you were actually still in Black Mesa when you thought you were in the Nihilanth's chamber?

- could just mean you're cought between the war between combine and humans (BTW, do the combine also come from Zen or are they from a completely different planet? Maybe Zen just attracts attention as a way-point for teleportation?)

8. Your bright face obscures your darker mask.
- could have something to do with the fact you're beeing contracted/manipulated by the Gman?

Maybe the combine live on xen, but they are the superior beings on the planet, and the "animals" of the planet are the antlions etc...


The vorts, they say some pretty interesting stuff.. but im sure its all to make you more confused as to what everything is about... as the gman can bend reality, and stop time... maybe where gman is from there is no time so he can "cut" through the fabric of space without actually being in "time"... *brain overload*

To me, that suggests ownership. eg, it was nihlanth's test chamber.. a force from xen (gman maybe???) was controling the events of black mesa?

I thought maybe this could be the same with G-Man, an alien with a human host, which would explain his strange handle of speech.

I don't see how Gordon could be controlled by and alien mind as his mind is essentially ours, as the player, seeing as we control him.

And MiccyNarc the line "We remember the Freeman, we are coterminus." could simply mean they have the same goals in common, as in, defeating the combine. Although it's very possible I'm wrong.

As far as I can tell, he says the same things as the one that welds the gun on your mudskipper.

If you hear the full speech you get a feel for the concepts he's so eloquently describing in various poetic, yet pointless ways.

But he's trying to make it clear to you that even though you skipped ahead in time compared to them, you shouldn't let that stop you from trusting them.
