My first steam nightmare.

Why is it I have a legit copy of HL2 yet I can't play it due to steam problems, this is not good, I can now see why people get so mad when they get steam problems.

I could understand a bit if I was playing it online, but FFS I just wanna play the single player game.

Once I get my account to work again, I will always have steam offline, I will never ever use it again online.

I never agreed with steam naysayers before, but why the feck do they have where steam can effect HL2 OFFLINE.

I feel like uninstalling now.

Patience my child. Steam is great for anti-pirating meaning only you can play the game cos you got it legally. And any multiplayer you want. Steam seems to have issues for some people tonight. Its rarely happens, this is the first in a long time i can remeber. Bare with it, it will be sorted. If you want to play offline from now on then fine. No updates though

Take it easy and wait for a bit.

Ricochet was expanded, CSS and HL2DM scrapped, and we are forced to throw lame discs at each other randomly. Nothing personal against the game, richochet is just awful.
