My picks for a HL2 movie

Just messing around. Here's some actors that I think might be good for a Half-Life movie. Not sure about Ethan Hawke though.

A HL2 movie couldn't work. Maybe in the HL-universe, the things with the combine and citadels are great, but... not really a movie with the original characters.

(Yeah, you said 'just messin around' but I have to say that )

I don't understand your point Recoil. HL2 has just about the best art-direction/characters/story of any FPS around.

If a movie based off of IT wouldn't work, then just about any movie based on an FPS is doomed.

Yep, one of the best sp-games out there to me too but not for a movie. It probably had to end up like Resident Evil 2 or so; some dumb action movie

Good picks on actors, only 1 i think could be better is the gman. Other then that great picks.

A Half-Life movie would only be posible if it was 3+ parts and each was 3 hours long. That could be done but i highly doubt they will find a good enough writer + script. A director wouldnt be a problem.

Refreshingly good choices. The budget would work with this type of cast, but like others have mentioned, without a good script the movie would be doomed from the start (like what's happening with the DOOM movie).

William B. Davis as G-man is not good choice ( but W.B. Davis is my favourite actor - I am X-files fan, Hi Blakeb 155) he look very different.
CSM and G-man is very close characters but they looks difficult.
I prefer another X-file actor (from episodes Nisei and 731) - Stephen McHattie.
Or actor from Underworld movie - Bill Nighy.
