need help with resolution!

i just got a new monitor and i tried turning the resolution in half life 2 on 2048 x 15xx.. but then i got an error, and everytime i try to enter half life 2, befor i can get to the loading screen (in the very begining,befor the menu) i get an error saying that it failed to lock bla bla something.
is there any way i can change the resolution outside the game? maybe some command in the launch option?

Failed to lock index buffer in CMechDX8::LockIndexBuffer

Add this to the launch options:

-w 1024 -h 768

That will change the resolution to 1024x768. Then you can get in the game and fix your resolution.

yeah, i figured this out yesterday, i just forgot to tell i allready fixed it.. but thanks anyway
